On Dublin Street by Samantha Young and GIVE AWAY

Today we have the pleasure of interviewing Jocelyn Butler. How did I choose to interview Jocelyn? I asked author Samantha Young to tell me who the her most difficult character was. Jocelyn AKA Joss is our lead female character in On Dublin Street.  Jocelyn is amazing and I loved her from the very beginning! I am totally in love with this book. I honestly think I could sit and talk to Jocelyn all day long, if she would let me that is :)

Character Interview: Jocelyn

Despite  your determination to put the past behind you, do you think moving to Scotland, the birthplace of your mother, was in part to be closer to her?
Joss smirks sadly  ‘My therapist would probably say so.’

What is it about Scotland that you love so much?
‘I like the history and the people. Despite how freezing it gets sometimes, there is warmth here. Plus, Edinburgh is that great kind of city where you have the benefits of city living - bars, restaurants, entertainment - but you don’t feel overwhelmed because it’s a small city and you have so much country around you.’

What’s your favorite thing about Braden Carmichael?
Joss laughs, ‘Is this interview R-rated?’ she grins, ‘Kidding. My favorite thing about Braden, other than his obvious skills in certain areas, is that he makes me laugh. A lot.’

If you could go anywhere in the world with Braden, where would you go?
‘Honestly, I don’t mind. Wherever he wanted to go. He works really hard - he deserves to vacation somewhere that will allow him to relax.’

Would you consider having kids with Braden?
‘Uh, next question.’

You and Braden’s sister, Ellie, are really close, but are two completely different people. Why do you think your friendship works?
‘Ellie is open, totally open and honest, and I think I needed a little of that in my life. I needed to trust that, that was okay. As for Els, she’s too nice for her own good. Some of my snark has rubbed off on her and taught her to stand up for herself a little more. I hope.’

Quick Fire Questions:
Fries or potato Chips: Chips!

Tea or Coffee: Um… coffee.

Caramel or Chocolate: Both. Together, preferably. Was that my stomach rumbling?

Braden or potato chips: Well, that is just unnecessarily cruel.

Ellie or Braden: Are you kidding me? What is this? Sophie’s choice?

Braden or Chris Hemsworth: While Thor is pretty hot, Braden is hotter. *smiles smugly*

Writing or Bartending: Writing

Christmas in Edinburgh or the Edinburgh Festival: Christmas

Virginia or Scotland? Scotland

Denzel Washington or Matt Damon? Ooh both… with chocolate caramel on top.

THANK YOU JOCELYN for that fabulous interview!
